about Kristel

Kristel Schoonderwoerd is a botanist with a love for natural history and nature art. Kristel spent many years in the living collections of the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University gathering data for her Ph.D. degree. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Connecticut and a contributor to UConn’s NatureRx initiative.
